Founded in 1939 in the province of Novara, Sampa is an international reference in plastic molding, with over eighty years of experience combining manufacturing tradition and technological innovation.

Today Sampa operates in Italy and across Europe in the automotive, recreational vehicles, hydraulics, industrial ventilation, and high-quality design sectors, where mold precision is essential to product excellence.

We Have Shaped the History of Design.

Sampa has brought to life a collection of furniture pieces that have marked an era, going beyond simple functionality to become true icons of modern design. Creations that combine formal research, technological innovation, and artisanal care, internationally recognized and included in the permanent collections of some of the world’s most prestigious museums, such as the MoMA in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. A journey that tells the story of Italian excellence and the ability to transform ideas into a culture of design.

Mold Design and Manufacturing

The mold workshop is the operational heart of Sampa, where the entire production activity originates and is coordinated. With around 50 molds produced each year, the company supports clients from design through to maintenance.

The design process uses advanced VISI CAD/CAM systems with Moldflow simulation, allowing analysis of mold filling and material behavior. This makes it possible to optimize the design before production, reducing development time and ensuring a fast time to market without compromising quality.

The mechanical workshop is equipped with next-generation high-precision machinery, including HAAS CNC milling machines and OKUMA machining centers for complex operations. The machines are integrated with the CAD/CAM system and supported by EDM equipment, lathes, grinding machines, and tooling for maintenance and fine tuning.

Injection Molding

The thermoplastics department represents Sampa’s production evolution and is supported by a modern, highly automated fleet of injection molding machines. The tonnage range goes from 60 to 1080 tons of clamping force, allowing the molding of both small high-precision components and large parts, with tie-bar spacing up to 1270 mm.

This versatility enables the company to meet a wide range of production needs. Product quality is ensured through the use of technologically advanced machines, including FANUC presses for high-precision and automated production, alongside reliable and efficient HAITIAN injection molding machines.

Excellence in Quality Control

Sampa has a dedicated metrology room that represents the core of the company’s quality system. Inside, a HEXAGON scanning arm is used for three-dimensional measurement, capable of digitally capturing the complete geometry of molds and molded components.

The coordinate measuring system allows real-time verification of dimensional conformity with the original CAD models, ensuring precision, traceability, and constant control throughout every stage of the production process.

Post-Processing and Finishing

Thanks to an integrated, quality-oriented approach, Sampa offers a complete service covering every stage of post-processing, delivering finished components that fully meet the required technical and aesthetic specifications and are ready for final assembly.

Its consolidated experience in finishing operations includes specialized hot blade and ultrasonic welding, as well as mechanical processing, assembly, chrome plating, and customization through pad printing and screen printing, ensuring full control over quality, timing, and traceability.

Sampa Branded Products

Alongside the production of plastic components for third parties, which represents Sampa’s core business, the company also develops and markets its own line of branded products. These solutions are born from the experience gained in the sector and are designed to offer high standards of quality, reliability, and innovation, responding directly to market needs.
